OPAR (Our Pack Animal Rescue) is a small foster-home based rescue out of New Brunswick (Canada). We spend lots of time getting to know, training and caring for our fosters while they are with us. So please, peruse who we have available and check back often as we usually always have someone in the wings.

Our Adoptables

Shepherd Mix (maybe lab too)
Male, 2 years old

Jasper is a happy go lucky pup whose attitude is infectious. He loves playing with other respectful dogs and was tested as cat friendly although may be overly playful/interested. He walks well on leash and loves to play keep away with his toys.

Jasper is working on fear reaction issues and is quickly progressing. He is currently doing canicross and flyball with his foster home 🙂

Pittie mix, 60lbs
Female, 3 years old (approx)

Rescued in November, 2018 as a stray between Dieppe and Scoudouc, NB, so we have no background information on her.

Hello folks, I’m looking for a people only home to call my own and protect, because I’m not a fan of this sharing thing with other 4 legged friends and strangers. I’ve been around kids and do like them, but don’t forget I’m also a pretty spunky and active 60lbs girl. I’ll need active, knowledgeable and experienced pawrent(s) that can  handle me when I focus on things I shouldn’t; like other animals, because of how reactive I can be.

I’m smart, attentive and eager to please, but I’m still very much a puppy at heart. I came with almost no manners and am working hard on them. I’ll surprise you with how far I’ve come. Cuddling up on the couch after a run is a specialty of mine…. so be warned, I’m gonna worm myself into your heart.

40lbs Female American Staffordshire Mix 6 yrs old(approx)

Minor skin allergies that we are currently trying to figure out and is currently on Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Hydrolyzed food.

Iris is a sweet little girl who loves toys and people (especially woman) and is fairly good with most dogs, once properly introduced. A bit of a deva as she will not tolerate dominance from other dogs but has done well with submissive dogs(Jasper). To our limited knowledge she was in a household with cats but this is only second hand information.

We did try her with cats and found her very interested (possibly too intense) in them so she would need introduction and monitoring by knowledgeable and experienced owners.

Red-Eared Slider Turtle
+10 years old

Sheldon is an amazing guy! He is curious and friendly and is always begging treats if he can get away with it.

His carapace is about 30cms long; potential adopters will need to prove they have the capacity to house him properly and are knowledgeable about his needs.
